Senior Occupational Therapist

Deidre is an occupational therapist with extensive clinical experience and a strong background in community-based dementia care. She officially joined Dementia Bermuda in 2025 following the merger with Northstar Dementia, having first begun working with the team in 2023 through Northstar’s in-home dementia support services.

Prior to joining Dementia Bermuda full-time, Deidre worked as an occupational therapist at Bermuda Hospitals Board for more than a decade, experience which provided broad clinical insight into the challenges individuals and families face across the healthcare system.

As part of Dementia Bermuda’s In-Home Occupational Therapy team, Deidre works directly with individuals living with dementia and their family caregivers to help make daily life safer and more manageable at home. Her work includes practical strategies, environmental adaptations, caregiver guidance, and ongoing support as needs change over time.

Deidre is passionate about helping people remain as independent as possible in familiar surroundings, while supporting caregivers through the realities of long-term dementia care.
