Marie Fay, OTR, DRS
Clinical Director
Marie joined Dementia Bermuda as Clinical Director in 2024, following many years of involvement with the organisation and almost two decades of experience supporting individuals and families affected by dementia in Bermuda.
An occupational therapist with a Master’s degree and extensive clinical experience in dementia care, Marie is widely recognised as a local leader in community-based dementia support. Her work focuses on helping people with dementia remain safe, supported, and as independent as possible at home, while equipping family caregivers with the knowledge and practical strategies needed to navigate the realities of dementia care.
In 2021, Marie founded Northstar Dementia in response to growing unmet clinical needs in the community. The merger of Northstar Dementia with Dementia Bermuda in 2025 marked a significant step toward creating Bermuda’s only nonprofit providing comprehensive community-based dementia care.
As Clinical Director, Marie provides clinical oversight across Dementia Bermuda’s programmes and plays a leading role in advocacy, public education, and efforts to strengthen dementia care and support systems in Bermuda.
Marie is an Executive Member of the Bermuda Board of Occupational Therapists and a member of the Bermuda Occupational Therapy Association.
